It is important to the Theatre Foundation of Turkey and the prospective Theatre Museum of Turkey that our work is internationally recognized. We hope to form close relationships with institutions that we follow closely and to collaborate on joint projects with them.
In support of this goal we visited European museums during an eight-day trip in June 2018 thanks to funding provided by the European Union Sivil Düşün (Think Civil) Programme Designed with the title “Cultural Network of Theatre Museums”, the project focused on similar institutions in Vienna and Stockholm.
We came together with the directors and professionals from important institutions in these cities and learned about their experiences in archiving, preservation, exhibition design, and sustainability. This trip gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas about the projects that we plan to carry out together.
The project was quite beneficial, allowing us to form new partnerships and to see different techniques in exhibition design at various museums.
