ORAL HISTORY
We are conducting oral history interviews with people who made great contributions to our theatrical tradition to enhance the theatrical memory of Turkey.
Throughout 2019, we carried out 16 interviews with leading figures in our theatrical history. We plan to build this part of our archive in the future and record more accounts of the theatrical history of Turkey as soon as possible.
In addition to written documents, these interviews, which are personal accounts and record people’s stories, constitute an integral part of the archive of Turkish theatre.
